Q:

Replace snowblower elec starter and loping questions 536884791 Craftsman Craftsman 5hp snow thrower

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your snow thrower. Upon researching model113244420; the starter will just unbolt from the engine. I would check the spark plug being that if it’s old it could be corroded. There is also the armature magneto that plug into the spark plug. The armature could be worn out. Also it would be best to clean out the carburetor with some carb cleaner.

Thank you for choosing Sears. Have a great day.

Thank you for your question on the band saw for cutting metal.

This is a single speed band saw made for cutting wood and it travels way to fast for even cutting non-ferrous metals which you could get by with 1500 FPM.

You will need to have the blade travel at less than 100 FPM to cut metal.

This saw has a 1725 RPM motor and the Feet Per Minute is about 3000 FPM for cutting wood.

You would also need the saw blade that is designed for cutting metal.

I would not recommend cutting metal with this saw .
