Thank you for your question on the band saw table insert.

I am sorry that we no longer have this part available. There is not known supplier for this part.

I would suggest that you could make you own iserts with some Lexan plastic material.

It can be a little unsafe to use the saw without the insert but not dangerous.

It would be better for the saw and the project if you had the insert in place so the tear out on the back of the wood will not be so bad. Also if you are cutting very small pieces you do not want them to fall down into the gap and blade path while you are cutting.

It also helps control the flexing of the blade as you scroll around curves.

I would measure the thickness of the insert flush with the table top and make a piece of material to fit snug in the insert hole. Mark the center line for the blade and then use the saw to carefully cut the kerf in the insert so you can install it the table with the blade in place.

Please let me know what you come up with.

Re my question regarding rebuilding my Craftsman 10 inch band Saw. The model number is:113.244200. What I need now is a clear parts/assembly breakdown of the band saw. The one on the Sears site is just too blurry. Anyone have an original exploded diagram or a link to a clear one?
