Q:

Belt Issues 11323940 Craftsman Craftsman shaper

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

First confirm the closed end of the motor pulley is facing down as indicated on page 4 step 9 in the assembly, operating instructions. Figure 5 on page 5 also shows the gap needed between the bottom of the flat pulley and the bottom of the motor mounting plate. Check this gap. There are 4 square head mounting bolts securing the motor to the mounting plate. You may need to loosen the 4 bolts and raise or lower the motor as needed to keep the belt tracking correctly. You may need to adjust the motor and or/add washers to kick the top or bottom of the motor in or out just a little. Also, if the spindle bearings are worn and the shaft has too much play, it could also cause the belt to track incorrectly.

I hope this helpful.

I don't know of a place you might find the spindle assembly. The spacers, retaining shield, and washers you can probably find at an auto parts house. The table insert and dowel pin would not be likely.

I searched the web and did not come up with any of the parts. It looks like you might not be able to repair the shaper.
