Q:

Change the Blade 113235230 Craftsman Craftsman 10 inch miter saw

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your miter. Upon researching mode 113235230; there is a screw holding the blade on. The blade should slide off once the screw and collar are removed.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Thank you for your question on the miter saw motor not running.

I am sorry but the miter saw does not have a re-settable reset button. The motor only has an internal thermal but it should have reset when the motor cooled.

If you happened to overwork the saw and it was not the blade that was smoking then you should have had and odor that was different from the smoking wood from the blade.

Burning motor winding has a different odor and if that is the case it may have burnt out the field windings on the motor.

One other possibility is the start trigger switch has failed but it is unlikely from your description.

You could remove the brush caps and pull the brushes out to see if one of them is not touching the commutator and they are sliding in the brush holder freely.

In order to replace the motor you have to purchase the whole motor and gear box assembly. I will give you a link to this part.

Motor and gear box assembly for model 113.235220 .

It looks like you can purchase a new saw for less than repairing the old one.

Please let me know what you find out and we can continue troubleshooting with that information.

Thank you for your question.

I looked up the model number you have submitted. The manufacture no longer offers the lower guard. I checked other sources for the guard but did not have any luck finding it. I am sorry the guard is no longer available.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.
