I read that too in the manual. I also noticed that the switch is double pole and there are four leads (red,blue,black,gray(?)) to the motor, a capacitor, which makes me suspect there is a way to convert to 220VAC.

I will be happy to assist you. I looked up to see what models this motor came on. I see that our Craftsman radial arm saw model number 11323111 has the same motor. According to the owner's manual this motor is only set up for 120 volts. I posted an image below with the motor electrical requirements.
