Q:

looking for motor or substitute 113.226682

A:

Thank You for contacting ManageMyLife.com

I understand your frustration when trying to locate a replacement motor. The original motor is no longer available due to the age of the product. However, we do have 1 aftermarket motor that might work for you. You will need to check the specifications on your original motor to be sure this one will work for your saw.

Motor Specifications:

  • 2 Horsepower
  • 3450 RPM
  • 120/240 volts
  • 7/8” x 2-1/4 shaft
  • 3” x 4-7/8” base
  • Ball Bearing

If your motor matches these specifications then you can order it at the link below.

2 hp Aftermarket Motor

If your motor doesn’t match these specifications I have emailed you a coupon for the purchase of any new saw over $249

If you have further questions please let me know.

Thanks for using ManageMyLife.com

The motor on my saw gave up the ghost last night and I was looking for another motor. I clicked on the link that the Sears Expert provided and saw that the replacement motor is $850!!! That is enough to buy 4 or 5 used saws and more than 2 equivalent NEW ones! I think the coupon was the only correct solution here. I will see about having my motor repaired. Should be LESS THAN $150 which is the value of an equivalent used saw in good condition.

I have the exact same model - the only difference is that my motor still works, it just runs in reverse. Are there any other motor options other than the $850 dollar one? I can almost purchase a professional model for that price! This has been a great saw - and you just can't get one with the same surface area for a reasonable price any longer. Also - if it is possible to fix it for less than the cost of a new one, I am looking for a replacement fence - preferably something that works a bit better than the original. The person I spoke to on the chat feature wasn't able to help me with that either. Any ideas?

Q:

need motor 113.226682

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when needing a new motor for your Saw. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found the motor. I do apologize the motor for your unit is no longer available by the original manufacture to purchase. After 5-10 years manufactures stop selling parts for certain units. I did locate the age of your unit and it is from 1987, in which, will explain why the motor is not available. I recommend seeing if a used motor is available on your favorite search engine. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.
