Q:

voltage & the amps 113.201470

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on the Craftsman Welder, Model: 113.201470. On reviewing the model, I wasn’t able to find the amps voltage on your specific model it’s looking like due to the age of the welder the manufacture has removed the info from our files. I was able to locate the information for a similar model to yours looking like it’s a model year newer. I have provided the link below for the manual on that welder below.

I hope this answered your question. Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and have a wonderful rest of your day.

Q:

How to connect the insulator to cable on welder.

A:

I understand how frustrating this can be. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I took some time searching your model number and it seems to be incorrect. A suggestion I have is to verify your model number and attach it to this thread. Hope this helps!

Thank you for question on the cable for the old welder.

I most cases the insulator unscrews from the metal plug.

From what I remember once you have the insulator unscrewed off the metal pin there are one or two Allen screws that secure the stinger cable onto the pin. You would bare the wire and insert it into the clamp and then tighten the two screws to pinch the wire into the pin.

If it is not connected that way then I am not sure how it was put together. I do not think it would be soldered. If it was factory fuse to the pin then you will need to purchase a new plug and bare the wire that put it together as described above.

I hope this is of some help.
