Hello Richard,

I'm sorry that you are having troubles with your radial arm saw. In the description of the problem it says that the saw will not come up to full speed. I am wondering if it is actually starting up or if it is turning slowly and maybe humming a little?

I would advise disconnecting the saw from it's power source and then cleaning and inspecting the wires, components and contacts in the housing (#3.) Be careful of the start capacitor (#28) because it can hold an electrical charge and shock you. I would advise discharging it with a screwdriver across the contacts after the saw has been unplugged from the wall for several minutes at least.

Be sure that the motor turns freely after you have unplugged the saw. Here is a link to the owner's manual . And Sears Parts Direct is a direct link to parts for your model. I have also included the exploded parts diagram at the end of this reply.

Please let me know if I may be of any further assistance.
