A:

Thank you for your question on the shorted wire in the arm recess channel.

First unplug the power cord from the wall.

Loosen the screws for back arm housing.

Then remove the knobs off the handle arm lock.

Then with a thin flat bladed screw driver pry up on the side edge of the top cover and pry out of the track that the cover is in.

Do this on both sides and flex the cover off the cast iron arm.
