CarlosZ - I needed the same hose for the same model vacuum - based on this post I also purchased the replacement hose 16928. NONE of the adapters are the same diameter as the inlet to the vacuum. Now what?

So since nobody on the parts direct wanted to follow up on my question, and I know a number of you out there have the same vacuum - you also know the replacement hose that Sears has does not fit. Good News. After some research- the rigid hose from Home depot (for $19.99) has the EXACT same connector as your old craftsman hose. They didn't get cheap and cost reduce the part like Sears did. And they have it sitting on the shelf in 7, 10, and 20 foot lengths. I'll never buy another craftsman tool again.

Hi,

Thank you for asking this question and allow me to answer it this way.

It is clear you would like to maintain the suction power of the older w/d vacuum and because of that I would recommend the 6.5 horse power w/d vacuum. Some of the considerations on any appliance is the length i=of the cord and the size of the hose you are using.

I hope this answer is useful and that it helps you correct the problem with your appliance.
Thank you for using ManageMyLife.
