Thank you for your question.

There is not a procedure provided for removing the motor from the wet/dry shop vac. in most cases the motor cost just as much as the shop vac.

I will try to help with the replacement of the motor.

The parts list diagram is the only source of information for this type of repair. I provided the parts diagram in the image below. It appears that you will need to remove the filter mount (in the green box) from the bottom of the lid assembly. Use a small screwdriver to pry the filter mount tabs away from the housing. You would need to remove the nut (Key 11) on the bottom of the blower wheel (Key 9). It appears that you will need to remove screws from the bottom of the lid assembly (in the red box) and then you should be able to lift the top to access the motor. The spacer should just slide onto the shaft of the motor. If you have removed, the screws mounting the motor try to pry the motor up with a screwdriver. The motor seal might have the motor stuck. I have only seen the seal on some models. If this does not work you might have to cut the spacer off with a small cutting wheel and replace it.

Make sure that the shop vac is unplugged when accessing internal components.

If you need further assistance, please reply with more details below.

Thank you for using Manage my life.
