Q:

Takes long to dry 11098575100 Kenmore Washer / dryer, electric

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore dryer.

From the information you have provided above, I can understand the frustration of having your dryer malfunction, after researching model number 110.98575100. there is a possibility of it being the thermostat. In this case here it may be a blocked vent. Make sure the hose and vent system is clear. This is the number one issue to cause the dryer to take long to dry. Check this before you replace any parts it may save you money and fix the issue.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your washer. If the motor is running in the agitate mode, then you could have a bad transmission. If the motor is not running in the agitation mode then you could have a problem with the timer or a wiring failure. This will require testing in order to determine the part that is needed. I would suggest that you have a technician do this, because the washer will need to be taken apart. If you would like to schedule service, just click on this link: Sears Home Services . I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

To replace the water valve in your washer, you must remove the front panel. Look in the space between the top of the front panel and the top of the washer. There are 2 clips about 3-6 inches from each side. Push a putty knife or a small flatblade screwdriver into each clip to release the top of the washer.

With the top of the washer released lift it up and remove the screws holding the front panel to the cabinet. Lift the front panel up to clear the 2 clips it sets in at the bottom of the cabinet.

You can work around the tub to remove and replace the water valve.
