HE3 Elite Dryer heat cycles come on but clothes still damp 110.97872602

Thank you for choosing I will be more than happy to assist you. I can understand any frustration you may have experienced with regards to your unit. Let’s see what we can do for you.

There are sensors on this dryer that determine if the cloths are dry or not. Sometimes with the use of fabric softener and sheets, it will coat the sensors and send wrong info to the control board tell it that the cloths are done. What I would suggest is wipe these sensors down with a clean dry rag. Once wiped down run a cycle and see if it doesn’t help. The sensors are located in front of the lint trap on the inside.

Hope this information has helped you. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can click here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. Again, thank you for choosing

Kenmore He3 Elite Residential Dryer model #11097872602 (Won't Dry) 11097872602

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears
I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is problems with the dryer not heating.
Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore Dryer model number 11097872602.

First thing for safety and concerns to keep dryer running well is to check the lint screen and vent of air flow going out of the house.   If clogged up it could cause heating problems on any dryer.
To prevent a Blocked Vent Hood, once a year:
1.  Clean any lint blockage from the exhaust vent hood.
2.  Make sure the vent hood flappers move freely.
3.  Check for screen/grate openings that allow bird or rodent nests.
4.  Replace exhaust vent hood if damaged.
5.  Check for good air flow while running the dryer.
Note: Poor airflow or decreased airflow indicates further vent system cleaning is needed.

All items can be checked with a volt meter for continuity.
When a gas dryer isn't heating there are a few things to look at.
In the burner system you have
1.  The ignitor key number 4 on burner page
2.  The pair of coils 13 & 14 on burner page
Behind the blower there is
3.  The thermistor key number 42 on blower page
4.  The thermal fuse  key number 49 on blower page.
