It looks like this model does not have the sensing features that often go wrong. I see you verified it does drain at the end of the wash cycle. I would try manually moving the washer from the wash cycle to final spin, bypassing the rinse cycle and verify if it completely drains. If it does, then the timer is the most likely the responsible component. You can order the timer here; Sears Parts Direct .

Please advise if further help is needed. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

A:

Thank you, Barbara. I bypassed the rinse cycle as you suggested and it drained completely. I am now running a different wash cycle (there are three) and I'm betting it will drain normally. I'm assuming that, if it's the timer as suspected, it is unlikely that more than one of the timer cycles would go bad at exactly the same time.

You are correct, all things point to the timer. You might want to check the timer contacts to make sure there is no corrosion and they are connecting properly. If nothing shows, then the timer would need to be replaced.

Q:

User Manual needed

A:

Having the manual for the washer can be very helpful. I did some research and found that the manual is out of print. Your expert will be able to help assist you. If you have a question about the washer I would like to suggest adding it to this conversation. It may take 24-48 hours for your expert to respond. I do hope all goes well.

Thank you. I was getting quite frustrated with this site as my query was giving me everything but what I asked for. Perhaps it is because it's out of print.
