Q:

How to change coupler part#285753a on kenmore washer model#110.92380200 110.9230200

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I can certainly assist you in locating the instructions to replace the coupler on your washer. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found information to assist you.

First step is to remove 2 screws from the console front. There should be one on each side and they will be under the plastic end cap covers that will pop off. Then the console will flip back on hinges.

Then you will see two large clips that you will need to pop out with a screwdriver. They attach the cabinet to the rear panel. You will also need to unplug the lid switch wires that are in the cabinet top. Then the whole cabinet should come off revealing the rest of the washer.

The pump unclips but don't remove the hoses or you will get water. Then there should be two screws that hold the motor retainers in place remove those and unplug the motor. Pop off the motor retainers and the motor should come off revealing the motor coupler. part #285753A.

Let me know if this helps.

The skate plate is part of the suspension system that helps the washer stay balanced and helps with vibration. The image below may be helpful. The tub support, part key 4, sits on the skate plate which is part key 17. The post on the bottom of the tub support line up with the notches on the skate plate. The skate plate sits on 3 pads which are part key 18 in the image below. There are also 3 pads, part key 16, on top of the skate plate. Sometimes the pads will be squeezed out of position and cause balance and vibration problems. The skate plate can move out of position. I hope this helps.
