Question and Answers

Q:

washer model #110.92584100 intermittent failure during last spin cycle in Ultra Clean mode 110.92584100

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Kenmore Washer, Model: 110.92584100. From reviewing the details on your model, the electronic control system on that washer will normally display an error code when the washer will not spin. I recommend that you empty the washer and run that test to see if the electronic control detects any problems. This will probably help you diagnose and repair the washer. Be sure that you unplug the washer before accessing internal components and replacing parts. Note: If you do not see an error code in the diagnostic test mode then you could have a problem with excessive suds or an unbalanced load that is preventing the washer from spinning. Overloading the washer or a problem with the drive components could also cause that problem.

Safety Warning: Before beginning the repair, disconnect the direct power supply to the washer to prevent the risk of injury or any electrical shock.

If you don’t feel comfortable or confident in this repair, then you can have it repaired at home by a sears technician. I have the included a link to the website: Sears Home Services or call 1-800-469-4663.

On something like this we need a little more information. If the motor is running in the spin cycle then the pump is also turning in the drain cycle since this is a direct drive model. If the motor is not running you will need to access the motor & check the plug-in motor wiring harness. This may also require using a voltmeter to determine where the voltage loss is. If the motor is running & the unit is not draining I recommend checking the pump & hose from the tub to the pump. Another possibility is clothing stuck between the tubs or a restricted drain line/stand pipe. Please click on the first responder's link for access instructions. Remember to disconnect power to the washer before attempting access.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.
