Q:

How do I change agitator dogs 11092583100 Kenmore Washer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your washer. Upon researching model 11092583100; unplug washer power cord before attempting repair.

1.       Open washer lid and remove the fabric dispenser ( #19 on diagram image posted below). The dispenser cap normally just pulls out and if there is a cap under it or in place of it this cap can be pried out.

2.       Now that you have the cap off you can reach in the agitator and remove the dust cap if there is one (not all models use dust cap). Remove the bolt securing the agitator using a 7/16” socket and extension to remove the bolt.

3.       Remove the agitator once the bolt has been removed. Remove upper agitator from the lower portion it normally snaps off.

4.       Next turn upper agitator upside down and the agitator cam will fall out (part that agitator dogs attach to). Remove the retainer of the cam by carefully prying it off using a flat head tool.

5.       You will now have access to the agitators replace them (make sure you remember the direction they are installed in before removing because if you install them upside down it will not work) and reverse the steps above to reassemble the unit. I have posted a link of the agitator dogs to view the link click here.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.
