Q:

Why is my Kenmore washer leaking water?

A:

I’m not sure what 12 & 13 numbers you’re talking about; there are 11 pages of parts listed. I would suspect that the pump or tub seal is leaking & should be checked.

A:

If water is leaking from the front of the washer, the problem is likely the water pump or a hose that connects to the water pump. The replacement is fairly easy. The water pump is approx. $47.00

Q:

Washer starts to agitate but stops after 5-10 seconds. After waiting a few minutes it will start again but repeats (shuts off after 5-10 seconds) 11092582220 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thank you for your question. I am sorry you are having problems with the washer. This could be the timer, motor or gear case.  If you hear the motor starting and stopping, there may be loose or bad wiring to the motor. If you manualy move the timer forward, will the washer go into spin?  If it does spin, I would change the timer. If it will not spin, the motor and gear case need to be checked. I recommend having a technician visit to diagnose and make necessary repairs.  You can schedule at Sears Home Services. If further help is needed, please reply.  Thank you  for using Manage My Life.
