Question and Answers

Q:

Kenmore Washer Model 11092577200 - drum won't spin 11092577200

A:

This problem could be fixed by just replacing a part. Check to see if the agitator moves in the wash portion of the cycle. If the motor run but the agitator does not move then the motor coupling (part 285753A) will need to be replaced. Here is a link for a previous answer that shows how to replace that part: http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/questions/113806-replace-motor-coupling-kenmore-washer

If the agitator works, then you could have a worn out clutch in the drive system. This previous answer shows how to replace the clutch:  http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/questions/273975-washer-clutch

Unplug the washer before accessing internal components.

These initial tips may help you fix the washer economically. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

A:

From the description you give I suspect the timer is the problem.

The final spin has a "spray rinse" during the first few minutes of the spin cycle. As the tub spins there should be a water spray for a few seconds.

If the spray is not happening till the end of the cycle then I suspect the timer is at fault. The 661597 timer can be obtained from the following link: Sears PartsDirect .

The image below shows how to raise the console.

You can reply with any additional details or questions for further assistance.

Q:

Where can I get instructions to change the agitator on a Kenmore model 11092577200 washer?

A:

The first image below is the break down of your agitator and the picture may be helpful with putting things back together.

The 2nd image is the instruction sheet for changing the cam and agitator dogs. From your picture this is the information you need.

The agitate dogs can only fit one way. The cam is designed in a way that will only allow the agitate dogs to fit one way. Once you have installed the dogs, the auger should only ratchet in one direction while agitating when a small amount of friction is applied to the auger.

I hope this information helps to resolve your problem but if you have other questions then submit another question with any additional details for further assistance with this problem.
