How do I remove the old timer in my Kenmore washer model 11092478800 so that I can install the new one?

A:

According to your model number, the image below shows the timer that is on your washer. You indicated that you removed the knob and the ring. I assume that you are referring to parts 12 and 13 in the image below. This should give you access to the timer mounting screws (Key 24). To access the inside of the console, remove the screws (Key 6) on each side that secure the console to the top panel. Flip the console up and back into the service position.
