Q:

Kenmore Washer Mod# 11092292100 cold water constantly runs filling washer. Has a valve or pressure switch failed and if so what part needs to be replaced? 11092292100 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore washer.

From the information you have provided above, it seems to me like the water inlet valve has gone bad. This valve is for both the hot and cold water to enter. The valve for the cold water isn’t closing completely allowing the water to keep flowing. The part number I suggest to replace is 3357901.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. It's never easy to make that decision when it comes to replacement over repair of an appliance. I see Henry provided a great link to that contains information finding the issue. I'd suggest following the steps to determine if it's the timer or lid switch. You may click here to view that answer.

A couple of things to keep in mind for this is this. Washer life expectancy is usually around 10 to 12 years. Also, parts for items over ten years of age are not always available.

If you do not feel comfortable repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. You may visit SearsHomeServices.com , follow the instructions and click on the red next button to set service.

Feel free to visit Sears.com if you would like to look at newer models.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.
