Q:

Washer flashing OL 11092195510 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your washer. Upon researching model 11092195510; the lid switch would need to be tested for continuity. It should have continuity when it is activated. If the switch test is ok then it could be an issue with the control board.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Q:

My washer (92195510) panel indicates "OL".

A:

I can understand your concern over this error code. The error code OL on a washer is usually referring to a open lid. If the lid is closed, then the lid switch is not communicating that information to the main board. I did locate a link that will discuss your situation in greater detail. Though this link discusses a different model number, the mechanics are likely going to be very similar. Keep in mind that an expert will be responding within the next two business days if not sooner and will likely offer you more information and instruction. I hope this link will help guide you as to what might be wrong with your washer and have a nice day.

Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com

I understand how frustrating it is when your washer stops working. After researching your model I was able to find out the OL code indicates "Open Lid" if the lid is closed are you are still getting this code then the most common problem would be your lid switch. The lid switch tells the machine when the lid is open or shut.

I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link below to be taken to the page.

Q:

How do I clean the inside of my washing machine?

A:

I recommend using a simple vinegar wash. With your machine empty, run it full of hot water to the largest load setting. When tub is full and begins to agitate, 4 cups of white vinegar to the water. Then add ½ cup of baking soda. Let the machine agitate for a few moments, then turn it off. Let the water sit for thirty minutes to one hour.

After allowing the vinegar/baking soda mixture to penetrate the residue in the tub, restart the machine, allowing it to complete the wash cycle. At the end of the wash cycle, when the tub begins to drain, advance the washing machine to the spin cycle.

Wipe the inside of the tub with a warm wet cloth. If you like, use a cloth soaked in a solution of half hot water and half white vinegar. Be sure to wipe all inside surfaces, including the bottom and blades of the agitator and the top of the tub just under the lid. If the washing machine has a fabric softener and/or a bleach dispenser, remove these and clean thoroughly before putting them back.

If after following these steps the odor remains, the washing machine may have build up in some of the inner parts. I hope this helped you today. If you need any further assistance, please resubmit your question with additional information.
