Q:

Kenmore Washer 11092093120 Off-Balance Switch 11092093120

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your washer. Upon researching model 11092093120; there isn’t an off balance switch on this model. Make the unit is level. Then check the feet to make sure they’re touching the ground. There are three suspension springs under the tub that could have worn out. The springs are key number 3 in the diagram. Click here for the diagram.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Other than this issue it runs great. I find the older models are built better and are easier to fix.

Thank you for your question. Rust on clothes would be upsetting and I can understand looking for a fix if the washer is working. I would not recommend repainting.  I see this washer is about 26 years old.  Even if the washer is dismantled and sanded down, primed and repainted, it is likely there is hidden rust that will still appear.  Due to the cost of a basket and tub replacement, it would be more cost efficient to replace the washer. You can view a wide range of price ranges at Sears or Sears Outlet . If you decide you want to replace the basket or tub, or try sanding and painting the rusted spots, you can view parts, paint and prices at Sears Parts Direct .  Thank you for using Manage My Life.

I understand that your water is dispensing slowly in your washer. I have taken some time to research your question here on the Manage My Life website and I noticed that someone else had asked a similar question with a posted response from an expert. I attached the link below if you are interested in viewing. I hope the link that I provided is helpful.

From what you're describing it sounds like the main watervalve has problems. Once the dispenser is flushed out the tub is filled by the main watervalve. I recommend checking the water pressure coming to the washer. First, disconnect power to the washer & turn the water off, remove both hot & cold water fill hoses from the back of the washer. Place them in a bucket to check the water flow. If you have good water flow next check the filter screens inside the valve opening. If the screens are clean & the water pressure is good I recommend replacing the main watervalve. Another possibility is the dispenser valve or a wiring problem.

Remember to disconnect power before attempting access & use extreme caution when working with voltage. After making these initial checks please report back to us your findings if you still need further assistance.
