Question and Answers

Q:

washer does not spin 11091552210 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore washer.

From the information you have provided above, I can understand the frustration of having your washer malfunction, after researching model number 110.91552210. it seems to me like there could be a few parts you may want to check on for the issue you are having. The parts that can cause this issue is the motor coupler and the washers lid switch. The lid switch is a safety feature on the unit. The washer will not go into spin if the washer thinks the lid is open. That may be cause to the lid switch. The motor coupler is what connects the gear case to the motor allowing the unit to spin properly.

lid switch is part# 285671

Motor coupler is part# 285753A

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

The model number you submitted 110.91552210 show a Kenmore Top Load washer with an agitator but you say your washer doesn't have an agitator. The model number brings up a washer with a lint filter while a newer style washer with no agitator might not have a lint filter. One thing to understand is that the majority of lint is removed by the dryer. Washers with lint filters pick up only a small amount of lint. The plan is to remove the majority of lint in the dryer. Lint is created as the clothes rub together. Be sure to separate the laundry. The clothes that produce lint should be washed separately from clothes that catch lint. You can reduce the wash time to reduce lint. Try the slowest agitation cycle available. If the washer agitated for 5 minutes instead of 15 minutes then less lint will be produced. Please confirm the model number and reply with any additional details for further assistance.

Hi Patti,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

This information should be in your Owners' manual. I no longer have access to the manuals for this washer. If you do not have your Owners' manual I might be able to find the information with your serial number. If you would like for me to look, please include your serial number in a reply to this post.

Repair would depend on the location and severity of the crack. I highly recommend having a trained service technician evaluate this problem. You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thanks again for using Manage My Life.
