Question and Answers

Q:

My washer will not spin. 11091121100 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your washer will not spin. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found information to assist you. Usually when a washer will not spin it could be caused by the lid switch or the motor coupler. The most common cause would be your motor coupler. I recommend taking the unit apart and checking the motor coupler to see if it is stripped or worn down. If so, replace it.

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you. I have looked up the model number you have submitted. This is a 2.5 cubic foot model. We no longer have the dimensions of the washer. I was not able to find the dimensions of a washer that is newer but should be the same size. I have posted the dimensions in the image below. I checked online for a washer that is the same but we no longer offer that style washer. I think the best option would be to go with a front load washer. We have a few models that will fit in the limited space and are energy saving. I recommend visiting you local Sears so that you can compare the washers before you make your decision.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Q:

How do I change the water temperatures on a Kenmore model 11091121100 washer?

A:

This particular washer doesn't have separate temperature controls.

It is a basic no frills washer and the basic water temperatures are controlled by the timer.

A "Cotton" or "Whites" cycle would have hot or warm water. A "Color" or "Permanent Press" cycle would have a cold water fill.

The rinses would all be cold.

If you get hot water in the wrong cycle then the problem will be with the timer.

There is no manual adjustment on this washer.

This machine may not have many frills or options but it also doesn't have a lot to go wrong. A good unit for a rental house.

I hope this information is helpful to you but submit another question for any further assistance.

I have owned this washer for 20 years. Each cycle has different water temps. On the Cotton/Sturdy cycle the water temps are as follows - Extra Heavy = Hot, Heavy = Warm, Regular = Cold. I don't use the permanent press cycle, but would guess it would be the same.
