Question and Answers

Q:

tub fills up after washer is off 11088754790

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your washer and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number 11088754790 and if you are having this type of problem, this would indicate that the water mixing valve has or is failing. The valve uses solenoids that open and close which allow water to flow and then stop. Your description indicates that perhaps the solenoid is not closing all the way and allowing water to flow. I have included a link to our Parts Direct page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link above to be taken to the page. I trust this information will help you.

Thank you for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com.

Sure. Thanks. The model # is 11088754790. It's a Kemore Washer/Dryer combo. I could not find a manual for this model via Kenmore, however, I was able to find one for model # 11088752790 which looks very similar.

Also, the Kenmore rep told me that it could be something called a Tub Support ($137.88) but I am curious if it's just a clamp or spring that might need to be replaced. Any advice on how to check this out would be great.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Thanks for adding the model number to the thread. The suspension system consists of 3 shock absorbers which supports the tub. One of the three is likely weak causing the tub to lean. The suspension shocks come as a set of three because all three should be replaced at the same time or the tub would not sit level. The shocks will come with instructions. The part number for the kit is W10207783 which can be ordered from SearsPartsDirect .

In order to access the shocks; the front panel of the washer must be taken off. To remove the front panel you must remove the panel from between the washer and dryer. Remove the two screws at the top of the diagonal panel and remove the panel. Reach over the top of the washer lid and remove the screws securing the hinges to the top rear edge of the washer top. Slide the washer top forwards and then disconnect the lid switch and remove the washer top. Remove the screw at the top front area of each side panel securing the front panel to the side panels. Lift the front panel up and off. You now have access to the three shocks. Follow the instructions provided with the shocks to remove and replace the shocks. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the laundry center before servicing. I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
