Q:

My washer won't cycle

A:

Washers are appliances that we use daily so when it starts to have problems all we can think about is money out the window. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I found a great link in the manage my life website on why your Washer wont cycle. I also suggest you set service with a Sears technician. I have attached the link below. Have a nice day!

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

If the washer timer is not moving/advancing at any given time; I would have to suspect a faulty timer. Removing and replacing the washer timer is procedure you can likely perform. To access and remove the washer timer you must loosen the screws at the bottom of the control panel at each lower corner. Note: Do not remove the two screws completely. Turning the two screws will cause the latch to come down to release the console at the top. Once the screws have been loosened, the top of the control panel will disengage and hinge open. Pull the top outwards and it should hinge open. Push the timer knob in and rotate it counter clockwise to remove the timer knob. Pull the dial off and then remove the two screws which were behind the timer dial. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
