Q:

What could cause a high pitched squeaking noise after turning on the dryer? 11088090100 Kenmore Electric dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your dryer is making noises. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found information to assist you.

The sound may be coming from the idler pulley. The idler may need to be greased to prevent the noise. You may be able to put a slight amount of WD-40, but not too much as it can collect dirt and dust.

Also the belt on the dryer may be worn out causing the sound. You will need to disassemble your dryer to determine where the noise is coming from.
