Q:

taken longer to dry clothes 11087572601 Kenmore Residential dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore dryer.

From the information you have provided above, it seems to me like you may need to disassemble the dryer to get all lint out. If the dryer isn’t drying like it used to it can be due to lint buildup. This will prevent the dryer from working to its best ability. I would suggest cleaning all lint out and if the issue continues then a new element will most likely do the trick. I would start with the cleaning first.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

Q:

Kenmore Dryer 11087572601 11087572601 Kenmore Residential dryer

A:

Thanks for visiting SearsPartsDirect.com

I understand your frustration when you dryer stops working. This can possibly be a very easy repair. If your dryer has a light on the inside and it works when the door is open try pressing the door switch to see if the light goes off. If the light stays on then the problem is a faulty door switch. Also when you tried to start the unit does it warm up at all and just the tub doesn't rotate? That could be a broken belt. And very last, test your start switch. It may not be sending a signal to the motor to start.

I hope this helps!!!
