Q:

Error Code PF 11087091601 Kenmore Elite Dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore dryer.

From the information you have provided above, upon researching model number 110.87091601. the error code PF you’re receiving states there is a power failure. A power failure occurred while the dryer was running. You can Press start to continue the cycle or stop to clear the display. If frequent power failures occur I would suggest checking the outlet cord for the dryer.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

Q:

My Kenmore Elite HE5 Dryer Model: 11087091601 is making high pitch noise. Where can I get a manual to show how to access the inside of the machine.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I added a couple of images below with the procedure of removing the drum. The high pitched noise is likely emitting from the belt tensioner pulley or one of the drum support rollers. It's more likely the belt tensioner making the high pitched noise than one of the drum support rollers. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing the dryer.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your appliance not working.

The dryer when used in the automatic cycle will use the sensors mounted in the drum side of the lint screen to sense the moisture left in the clothes and through the board regulate the time needed to dry the clothes.

You might try to clean the sensors with a sponge and warm water mixed with a small amount of liquid dishwashing detergent.  Sometimes the sensors clog with clear varnish like coating from fabric softener.

Now for the starting of the motor problem, unplug the dryer from the wall outlet and remove the panel just below the dryer door.  This will give you access to the motor and the heater and you can check the insides for lint buildup.  If the motor switch is clogged with lint the switch will not reset and the motor will not start.  Another issue could be the control button for the start of the dryer.  Below is a test you can use to check the control panel buttons out and help determine the cause of the start problem.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help.

Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.
