A:

If you have not already ordered the belt, you can order part number 341241 from the Sears PartsDirect website.

Unplug the dryer to disconnect electrical power. The basic procedure for opening the dryer cabinet and replacing the belt is shown in the image below. Your dryer will look slightly different than the one shown below but the basic procedure is the same. This should help you install the new belt.

If you need more help, submit additional details and we will assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

How do I install a heating element in my Kenmore dryer model 11086880800?

A:

To access the heating element in this model, unplug the dryer and remove the back panel. Remove the wires from the leads on the element. You should find one or two screws that hold the element in the heater box. Remove these screws and pull the old element out of the heater box. Secure the new element in the heater box and replace the screws. Plug the wires back onto the new heater element. Reassemble the back panel of the dryer.

If you need more help with this repair, resubmit your question with additional details.
