Thank you for choosing Searspartsdirect.com and being a valued member. I can certainly assist you in locating information to calculate the capacity of your dryer.

Since your dryer is over 5-10 years old the capacity is no longer readily available. You will need to measure your dryer itself to determine the capacity.

You can also visit searpartsdirect.com for parts, diagrams, and repair information.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Most likely the noise is coming from 1 of the 2 drum support rollers or the shaft. It also could be the blower wheel is loose or rubbing the blower housing. There is also a belt and belt idler assembly that could be making the noise.

I recommend taking the drum out if your confident and comfortable performing this task, and inspecting the 2 drum rollers and axles. Check the blower wheel and blower housing too. If you need to schedule service you may do so by logging onto www.SearsHomeServices.com . If you have any other questions please reply back to this thread.

Thank you for contacting Manage My Life.
