A:

Hi, If you would like to you can look threw your owners manual if you don't have one handy you all you have to do is scroll to the top of the page click on the "manuals" button then enter your model number and your owners manual will come up. Another suggestion that I have is to visit SearsHomeServices.com I have included the link below. Hope this helps!

From the description you give there is no cool down at the end of the cycle.

The timer is what controls this and if there is no cool down then the problem will most likely be with the timer.

The 3388107 timer is about $68 dollars and can be obtained from the following link: Sears PartsDirect .

Another potential problem would be if the timer gets stuck in the automatic cycle. Try running the dryer empty in the automatic cycle and see if it will shut off.

I hope this information is helpful to you but if there are any additional details I may be able to help you further with this problem.

Q:

Why did my Kenmore dryer stop heating and spinning mid cycle?

A:

When you push in the start switch you need to have 120volts across 5M to 4M at the motor. If you do not show voltages there check Y on the timer to white neutral. If you show 120volts there this leaves the door switch, start switch & thermal fuse. If you have 120 volts blue to white at the motor I suspect a bad motor since you stated that the thermal fuse is good.
