Question and Answers

Q:

Dryer panel [back].How do I remove the top section of the panel? 11086384800 Kenmore Electric dryer

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

To access components inside the control panel, there is a screw located at the lower front corner and each side of the control panel to remove. Once the two screws at each corner has been removed, slide the control panel towards the front of the dryer about a 1/4 inch and then lift it up off the top. You will likely have to remove all the screws on cover on the back side of the control panel if the panel does not come off. But looking at the image, the cover behind the control panel has 4 screws along the top to remove and one at each corner at the bottom of the cover to remove. Once the six screws have been removed, the cover should come off. I added an image below and circled the screws to be removed in red.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
