Question and Answers

Q:

What is the capacity of Kenmore Washer, Model 110.82984100 11082984100 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on the Kenmore Washer, Model: 110.82984100. On reviewing the model, it appears that due to the age of the washer the manufacture has pulled the information on the washer. I found the way to measure the tub to find the cubic feet of the tub. I have provided the link below for the equation.

I hope this answered your question. Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and have a wonderful rest of your day.

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there are questions on the washing machine.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore model number 110.82984100.

I am sorry that I can't find the exact year.  I can tell you approximately because my programs won't give me any year before 1987.   It looks to be around the early 1980s model.

Thanks for the prompt reply, Anna. However, that video clearly shows a retainer clip for the agitator dogs and my washer DOES NOT have the retaining clip. From what I can see on the parts website, the retaining clip is not a part that can be bought separately; it can only be purchased as part of the agitator cam assembly, Part #285748, and I already have all of the parts except for the clip.

I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your washer. When replacing the agitator dogs, it can be confusing without the right information. I was able to find a video that can help you with this. Just click here to view it: Replace Dogs . If you have the cam and the dogs in place, slide it onto the agitator and secure the retaining bolt. If the cam is not locked into place, the bolt will pull it down for you. This will get it to lock in place. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Anne, thanks for the reply. Your link was actually the first video I watched, even before coming to this site. I ended up buying the agitator cam assembly that had the retaining ring in it. I screwed it back together, but I'm not sure it's locked down properly. Is the upper assembly supposed to have some play in it - that is, is it supposed to slide up and down a bit? Also, replacing the dogs has not made the screeching/whining sound go away. The rep at Sears Parts Direct said I might need to replace the block-drive (part #15 here http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-Parts/Washer-Parts/Model-11082984100/0582/0153200/00039706/00004?blt=06&prst=&shdMod=). Is this part also known as a coupler, and do you think that might be the source of the screeching/whining noise? The noise only occurs when the agitator is moving, not during the spin cycle.
