Q:

kenmore will not spin 11082873800

A:

Thank you for submitting your question. I understand your concern and I will be happy to assist you. The switch can be checked two ways. The first way is with a volt/ohm meter and you can check continuity across the two terminals on the switch. The circuit should show open and closed as the lid is open and closed. If you have no meter then the lid switch can be bypassed to see if it is the problem. The idea is to remove both of the wires from the lid switch and join (jump) them together with a small wire. With the lid switch bypassed you can see if the washer will drain and spin. The image below shows how to remove the cabinet to access the lid switch but look at the bottom of the instructions to see how to bypass the lid switch. Remember to unplug the washer before access and checking the lid switch. You can order parts from our Sears Parts Direct web site. I hope this helps. Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when you are having trouble with the washer leaking.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your model number 110.82873800.

Usually when the water leaks out the bottom is that the pump has either gone bad or is very much clogged with articles that slipped through.   I would look into that first.  It is an easy job to fix for oneself, most of the time.  I have a link below to help you order the pump when you are ready.
