Q:

oe code he3 dryer 110.82822100

A:

This is normal. It is on the Tech Sheet listed under “Door Switch Test”. When you go into the Diagnostic Test Mode; Functionality is verified with a beep each time the door is closed and opened, and a number and letter appears in the display (i.e., “0E”, “0G”, “1E”, or “2G” etc.).

On something like this I recommend running the moisture sensor test. If the unit passes the moisture sensor test it sounds like the exhaust vent is blocked or restricted. Please see the image provided below for more troubleshooting tips on this symptom.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.

Your details seem to indicate that you have some problems with the drive components that are causing excessive friction in the dryer drum rotation.  The dryer motor is overheating and kicking out on overload. That is why it will not restart until it cools down after about 15 minutes.

If you want to fix this problem yourself, you will need to open the cabinet and inspect the components to find the cause of this problem. Unplug the dryer before accessing internal components. I posted the procedure for opening the cabinet in the images below. The first image shows the location of the components inside the cabinet. You can start by unplugging the dryer and removing the top panel as shown in the first image below. Rotate the drum by hand and see if you can determine the cause of the excessive friction. You may have to continue with the disassembly of the dryer to access the drum support rollers and other components.

Once you determine the cause of your problem, you can order parts from this page: Kenmore Elite Dryer Model 110.82822100 Repair Parts.

If you need more help, reply with additional details.
