A:

I would suggest that Locktight be given a try. The screw or the threads on the transmission shaft have stripped. Locktight may help you with this problem.

This is an old machine and the transmission is no longer available.

Try the Locktight and hope for the best. A brand new similar washer will be in the $329 dollar range so I wouldn't suggest going to far or spending to much on this problem.

Let me know if the Locktight works.

Q:

Where can I find the wiring diagram for Kenmore washer model 110.82374110 so that I can reconnect a broken wire?

A:

The wiring diagram for this washer is only available in our microfiche system. I provided a photo of the wiring diagram in the image below. It appears that the white wire connects to motor switch connection #4. This is the neutral wire for the motor. This information may help you get the wire reconnected. NOTE: Be sure to unplug the washer before accessing internal components.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
