Question and Answers

Q:

How do you replace a drive belt on a Kenmore model 110.82283130 washer?

A:

The changing of the belt on this particular washer is usually not something I'd suggest as a do-it-yourself project. This is one of the more complicated belts to change.

At one time there was a do-it-yourself manual available but it is no longer in print.

The first thing you should know is that to replace the belt you will have to lay the washer down on its side and pull the gearcase out about 2-3 inches.

The complete instructions are in the image below and I'd suggest you read through them completely first before starting. Remember to unplug the washer first.

Step by step and everything should go okay. If you get stuck then submit another question with any additional details for further assistance.
