Question and Answers

Q:

bad vibration 110.81664110

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your Washer keeps vibrating. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found other parts that could cause your washer to vibrate or be off balance.

If the inside of the tub is not tilting then your suspension pads are worn out and need to be replaced. It can also be the suspension springs. You would need to disassemble the unit to determine which part you will need to replace.

Here is the link for the springs: There are three.

Q:

Where can I find a manual for my Kenmore 60 Series washer model 110.81664110?

A:

The owner's manual for this washer is no longer available. Here is a manual for a similar washer that may help you with the normal operation of your model: Owner's Manual

This manual (or your original manual) will not have repair information regarding your problem with the washer not spinning. This model of washer does not have a drive belt. It has a direct drive transmission. Here are some tips that may help with that problem:

  • Check the lid switch to see if it is activating properly. If you need to examine the lid switch more closely, you would need to unplug the washer and remove the cabinet as shown in the image below. If the lid switch is broken, you can order a new one from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number is 279347.
  • If the lid switch is okay, check to see if the washer is agitating properly. If the washer fills and drains but will not spin or agitate, you could have a broken motor coupler. Here is a link for a previous answer that describes how to replace this part: How do I replace the motor coupler in my washer? The part number for the motor coupler is 285753A.
  • If the washer agitates properly and drains but will not spin, you could have a problem with the clutch or the basket drive. You could also have a transmission problem.
These tips may help you resolve your spinning problem. If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.
