Hello Vesta. I am sorry to hear about this problem that you are having with your Kenmore Laundry Center Model 110.80754002.

You could have a problem with the dryer door switch, the push-to-start switch, the timer, the drive motor or the wiring in that motor circuit.

I recommend that you check that door switch first. See if it appears to be working properly.  You should hear a faint "click" as you push the door switch in and release it. If you need to pull it out and test it, then you can unplug the laundry center and remove the top panel. Unplug the wiring harness and check the resistance through the switch using a volt/ohm meter. You should measure OL -- open load or infinite resistance when the switch is not depressed. When the lever is pushed in to "close" the switch, you should measure near zero ohms of resistance (continuity). If the switch is bad, then it will need to be replaced.

You can order parts from this page: Kenmore Laundry Center Model 11080754002 Repair Parts.

If that door switch is okay, then you can check the push-to-start switch in a similar manner. With the switch depressed, that component should measure continuity.

Be sure that you unplug the laundry center before accessing internal components.

If you need more help, reply with additional details.

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

This is most likely due to a faulty lid switch. If the lid switch is bad the washer will fill and agitate, but will not drain and spin. You can try bypassing the lid switch to check this. To bypass the lid switch unplug the laundry center and remove the washer top. I am including images below that will help with this. You will need to remove the access panel below the dryer. The parts diagram below shows some clips on the front of the panel that appear to hold that washer top panel down. I believe that you will need to release those clips using a putty knife to lift the top panel and access that lid switch. There is a possibility that your model has the spring clips that are shown in the third image. If you are not able to release that top panel, you can look for those clips at the back of the top panel. These tips should help you access that lid switch.

Once you have the lid switch accessed, locate the connector for the lid switch. Place an insulated jumper between the gray and tan wires going back to the timer, not the green it is a ground and will cause a short. After inserting the jumper, make sure it will not touch anything metal. I recommend covering it with electrical tape.

After ensuring that the lid switch bypass is secure, plug the washer in. Then start the washer in a cycle, and let it go. If the washer completes the cycle, you need to replace the lid switch. Do not leave the jumper in place and continue using the washer while you are waiting for the part. The jumper is for testing purposes only.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website; Sears Home Services .

I hope this is helpful. Check the things I have covered here and if I may be of further assistance please reply to this post.

The first image shows the parts drawings that you are describing in your details. I believe that you will need to remove that access panel below the dryer as shown in the second image. I believe that you will need to release those clips using a putty knife to lift the top panel and access that lid switch. There is a possibility that your model has the spring clips that are shown in the third image. If you are not able to release that top panel, you can look for those clips at the back of the top panel. These tips may help you access that lid switch. Be sure that you unplug the washer before accessing internal components. If you need more help, reply with additional details and some digital pictures of the top panel.
