Question and Answers

Q:

overfilling . 11080754000 Kenmore Laundry center

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your washer overfills.

The next part to check would be the water valve itself. The water valve can be a fault and cause the unit to not stop filling.

See if the washer continues to fill with the plug pulled out of the outlet. If it does then that water valve assembly will need to be replaced. Unplug the washer and shut off the water supply (which should already be shut off since you had a leaking valve). Remove the top panel of the washer. There are screws at the very back of that panel that secure it to the washer frame. Remove those screws and then pull the top back slightly then up and off of the washer. You can then replace that water valve assembly.

You can also visit searpartsdirect.com for parts, diagrams, and repair information.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.
