Q:

Kenmore residential gas dryer model 11078522700 does not stay heated 11078522700

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your dryer. Upon researching model 11078522700; it sounds like a thermostat or airflow issue. Remove the exhaust hose and see if the dry runs longer than ten minutes. It could be a thermostat is functioning properly when cool but once heated it starts malfunctioning. The thermal fuse is functioning and the thermal cut off sounds good. It gets heat so the gas and igniter are functioning. It stays hot for more than five minutes so the gas coils are functioning. It does sound like a thermostat issue or air flow issue.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Q:

Kenmore gas dryer won't stay heated. 11078522700 Kenmore Residential dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your refrigerator. Upon researching model 11078522700; the first thing to do is remove any lint build up inside the unit. It can prevent adequate airflow and make the unit build up heat. The heat buildup would cause the thermostat to turn off the heat. Next is to check continuity through the thermal cut off. It would turn off the heat if it doesn’t have continuity.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Thanks Jeff, it's a Gas Dryer though. As I stated in my original email, the air flow is fine, as I did check the exaust vent outlet goin to the outside of the house. The Thermal Cut-off is functioning well. Can you, or someone else there advise? Thanks
