Q:

dryer keeps shutting off 11077902791

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your dryer. Upon researching model11077902791; clean out the exhaust hose. Any lint build up can restricts the air flow. The thermal fuse will shut the whole unit off if the unit builds up too much heat. Check if the igniter is glowing. If it is then the thermostats are ok. If it’s not glowing then a thermostat is bad. Check the door switch for continuity as it could have a loose wire.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Q:

Gas dryer

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

If the blue wire is disconnected, the burner will not come on.

The blue wire is most likely supposed to be connected to the radiant sensor. The radiant sensor is mounted on the side of the burner cone. The combustion cone is where the flame burns inside of. The radiant sensor will have a black cover and it will also have a small glass window pointing towards the burner. The radiant sensor should have two wires connected to it. Look for a male terminal on the radiant sensor and connect the blue wire to it and your dryer will likely heat. I added an image below of the burner assembly and I circled the radiant sensor in red.

NOTE: Disconnect the dryer from the power source before reconnecting the blue wire to the radiant sensor.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
