Reset button for Kenmore Elite Dryer 11077851600

I understand how inconvenient it can be to have a dryer that is not heating properly. While you are waiting for an expert answer, I did manage to find a link about troubleshooting for a similar gas dryer. I hope the link is useful.

There is no reset button to push in order to reset your dryer so that it will heat again.

There could be one of several possible component failures preventing your gas dryer from producing any heat. The failure could be any one of the following components:

  • Thermistor
  • Electronic control board
  • Heater relay
  • Thermal fuse
  • High limit thermostat
  • Ignitor
  • Flame sensor
  • Centrifugal switch

I provided 3 images below with the diagnostic information and instructions. The only bit of information that does not pertain to your model is how to access parts in the control panel. Your specific model will have spring clips under each end cap on the control panel that must be pushed in with a thin putty knife like the instructions show on how to remove the lower access panel in the last image. Slide the putty knife under the end cap and then lift that corner and do the same on the other end cap. NOTE: Disconnect the power supply from the power source before servicing the dryer. There may be times when voltage tests are needed. If you do not feel safe and confident in checking voltages then I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your gas dryer.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

What is causing squeaking sound on my dryer model 110.77851600?

The idler pulley should be spinning freely without the belt tension on it. Since you indicated that this component is stiff, it could be causing your squeaking sound. Even if it is not causing the sound, you may need to replace it since it is not turning freely.

The normal causes of a squeaking noise on this type of dryer are the idler pulley and the drum support rollers. You can normally pin point the cause of the noise by removing the top panel and bottom service panel and then manually turning the dryer drum. If the idler pulley is apparently not making the noise then it could be one of the drum support rollers that are squeaking. The information for accessing and removing the drum support rollers is provided in the image below. (Your dryer has clips that secure the console to the top panel of the dryer. Use the procedure in the photograph that is provided in the image to release the console on your dryer.) Be sure that you unplug the dryer to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal dryer components.

NOTE: The procedure for accessing and replacing the drum support rollers in this dryer is fairly advanced. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

This information may help you resolve the squeaking problem in your dryer. If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.
