Hi Ronald,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

Without your model number I am only able to give you general information.

From this description I am including a video that I think may be similar to your dryer; Video . Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service. Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts. This video is for demonstration purposes only. The dryer in this video may not look exactly like yours, but the procedure is basically the same. NOTE: Remember I did not know your model number.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram and for parts purchases; Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance, please reply to this post as more details become available. Be sure to include a complete model number.

Mr. Landell, thank you for your assistence. It was very helpful. The only problem is that I mislabeled the part I am waiting to receive. It is not the bearing as I indicated earlier. It is called the bearing ring. It is a round plastic ring that fits around the front of the dryer with the felt that is glued to the front of the drum - I watched the informative video you sent. My question relating to the felt strip that is glued to the drum is this: part of the felt is fat, the other thin. How will I know where to glue the fat portion and where to glue the thin portion? Also, once the glue has dried how do I install the bearing ring (that is, the plastic ring that goes over the felt. The model no on my Kenmore dryer is 11076992100. Thanks again.

Hi Ronald, I no longer have access to a service manual for this dryer. I am including images below on a dryer that should be similar. The thicker portion of the felt should go towards the top. I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post. Landell
