Q:

Kenmore gas drier 11076822695 intermittent heating 11076822695 Kenmore Gas dryer

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is problems with the dryer.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore Dryer model number 11076822695.

First thing for safety and concerns to keep dryer running well is to check the lint screen and vent of air flow going out of the house.   If clogged up it could cause heating problems on any dryer.

To prevent a Blocked Vent Hood, once a year:

1.  Clean any lint blockage from the exhaust vent hood.
2.  Make sure the vent hood flappers move freely.
3.  Check for screen/grate openings that allow bird or rodent nests.
4.  Replace exhaust vent hood if damaged.
5.  Check for good air flow while running the dryer.
Note: Poor airflow or decreased airflow indicates further vent system cleaning is needed.

On a gas Dryer these items can be checked with a volt meter for continuity.  Even though the ignitor comes on please check it with a meter.

When a gas dryer isn't heating there are a few things to look at.

In the burner system you have

1.  The ignitor key number 4 on burner page

2.  The pair of coils 13 & 14 on burner page

Behind the blower there is

3.  The thermistor key number 41 on blower page

4.  The thermal fuse  key number 39 on blower page.

The igniter and coils are not the problem. Every time the igniter glows red, the gas comes on and the flame lights. The thermal fuse is good, zero ohms across it. The thermostat measures zero ohms across it also. Something in the circuit does not allow the igniter to turn on. Do you have a copy of the wire diagram you could send me? Thanks.
