Q:

Dryer spins no heat. Checked everything I can think of 11074982301 Kenmore Residential dryer

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your dryer and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number 110.74982301 and if the dryer is not producing heat I recommend testing the igniter, coils, and thermostats. Here is a link that will help with testing and determining which part is defective. From the items you have tested already I would suspect a igniter failure. The igniter should glow as you start the dryer. Just click the blue link above to be taken to the page. I trust this information will help you.

Thank you for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com.

I thought it was the igniter so I did a voltage test and there is never power being sent to the igniter. Or across the thermal fuse. I am out of ideas. Is there anywhere I can get a wiring diagram? Thanks.

Q:

Gas shuts off early 11074982301 Kenmore Residential dryer

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear that the upper oven is no longer heating. I know how concerning that is to have happen.

The key to this problem is knowing what the igniter is doing after the flame shuts off. If the igniter never comes back on then the problem will likely be the timer or thermostats. If the igniter continues to cycle on and off with no flame then the problem is likely the gas coils or gas valve. If the igniter continues to glow bright and click off with no flame then the coils or valve is likely the problem. You can listen for a hum or buzz from the coils when the igniter clicks off. If you hear nothing then the coils are likely the problem. If you hear a buzz or hum then the valve is most likely the problem.

Q:

Won't stay running after pushing start button 11074982301 Kenmore Residential dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your dryer will not stay running. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found information to assist you. It sounds to me like the push to start switch is shorting out and not sending the signal to the dryer to stay on.

Click here for videos regarding how to test the push to start switch to determine if you need to replace the part.
