Q:

Does this model have a fuse in the heating system? 11074602300 Kenmore Gas dryer

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is trouble with the dryer.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore model number 110.74602300.

In helping with your dryer.  The first thing to let everyone know is that they must first check there lint screen.  Pull it out and make sure the vent the screen goes into is not plugged.   Next check the vent area where it goes outside the house.   A dryer has to have a free movement of air to prevent heating problems and fire hazzards.

You are asking if you have a thermal fuse and yes you do.  It is on the back side of the blower fan.  There is also a thermostat beside it.   Both should be checked out with a meter and you can tell weather you need just the one or both.

I have them on the link below.

Thank you for choosing ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it must be to not have a properly working dryer. Based on the symptoms you've provided, the most common cause for this problem is your gas valve or coils. The gas valve assembly does come with the coils included. Testing the coils do require an ohmeter. I recommend getting the complete kit as it is already pre-assembled and the price difference is only $37.
I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link below to be taken to the page.
