Q:

convert dryer from lpg to natural gas

A:

Conversion of the dryer from LP gas to natural gas should be completed by a qualified installer.

To convert this dryer from LP gas back to natural gas, you will need the natural gas orifice (Size 44 -- part number 5303207410). If you did not save this orifice when the dryer was converted from natural gas to LP gas then you can order a new natural gas orifice from the Sears PartsDirect website.

The instructions used for the conversion of the dryer are shown in the first image below. The second image shows how to remove the bottom front service panel to access the burner assembly. The installer needs to unplug the dryer to disconnect electrical power and shut off the gas supply. The process for converting the dryer will need to be reversed using the LP conversion kit instructions as a guide. The blocking pin will need to be removed and the orifice will need to be changed back to the natural gas orifice (Size 44). The air shutter on the burner will likely need to be adjusted. The fittings will need to be properly leak checked. This information should help the installer properly convert the dryer back to natural gas.

I recommend that you use a pre-screened professional from the ServiceLive.com website if you do not already have a qualified installer to convert the dryer.

Kenmore dryer model 110.73032100 for converting FROM Propane TO Natural Gas. Please note, when I called the Sears parts center I was told to order part number 280119. That's what I ordered & that's what I have now. Now my plumber is here & he needs instructions. Please check to see if the correct part was sent to me. On the outside of the shipping box states "DIV. PLS. Part Number 026.110.280119". Nowhere do I see "Size 44 -- part number 5303207410" that is referenced in your initial reply. Did the Sears parts dept.advise & sent me the wrong part? thanks
